Fabián Hofman
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1960, he graduated as a photographer at the “Neri Bloomfield” School of Design, Haifa, Israel (1978-1982).

He got two scholarships (1981 and 1982) from Helena Rubinstein Foundation and exhibited his works at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art and the Biennale of Young Artist in Haifa Museum of Art, Israel.

In 1983 returned to Buenos Aires, and dedicated to still photography; in the same year he got the Coca Cola in Science and Arts photography award.
Between 1984 and 1992 he worked as an editor as well as teacher at the National University of Buenos Aires (Works Practice Chief of Expressive Media II and Video Workshop II).

From 1991 to 1994 he owned a Post-Production Company and in 1992 was the postproduction Director of the TV series “Desde Adentro/Inside”; a Spanish-Argentinean co-production.

In 1994 he got the Rockefeller Foundation, McArthur Foundation and Fundación Antorchas grant “Beca Intercultural Film/Video 1993/94”

During 1995 he worked as postproduction Director of T.V. Cable channel “Sólo Tango”, Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 1996 he received a fellowship from the Argentinean National Fund for the Arts to make a documentary research for a TV series. The same year he moved to Mexico City invited by the National School of Anthropology and History (INAH) to coordinate the Media Department.

In 1997 he received a fellowship from ZoneZero and Pedro Meyer to develop the web site “ZoneZero” in Los Angeles, California.

Since 1998 he is the Academic Director of the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (Mexican film school part of the National Arts and Culture Council), and Project Chairman of new technologies in the Multimedia Department.
