Nace en la ciudad de México en 1975. Ingresa al cine en 1995 después de dos años de trabajar en televisión y publicidad. Colabora en 24 largometrajes en los departamentos de arte, producción y dirección, entre ellos: “Perdita Durango”, “The mask of Zorro”, “Stigmata”, “Beat”, “Por la libre” y “De la calle”.
En el 2003 produce y dirige el documental “El pueblo se levantó”. Ese mismo año filma “Club eutanasia”, largometraje de Agustín Oso Tapia del que es Productor Ejecutivo (Premio del Público Guadalajara 2005, selección oficial Los Angeles Latino Film Festival 2005)
En el 2004 produce el documental ”Forest Peoples”, dirigido por Anna Karp y los cortometrajes “La última vez”, de Ira Franco, “En la ciudad”, dirigido por Valentina Palma y “Estamos por todos lados”, de Sofía Pérez (Espiga de Plata en la 51 semana de cine de Valladolid, Diosa de Plata 2006, Mejor corto latinoamericano, Festival de Lleida).
En el 2005 concluye “Atrás de las sombras”, largometraje documental del que es productor y director (selección oficial en los festivales de cine de Guadalajara 2005, Morelia 2005 y Cinesul 2007). El documental fue recientemente adquirido por The History Channel.
A inicios del 2006 co-edita el corto documental “La voz de la pantalla”, dirigido por Sofía Pérez Suinaga y produce “Primera Comunión” corto de ficción dirigido por Daniel E. Carrera (Mejor cortometraje de ficción Festival de Cine Las Americas, Mención especial Guadalajara 2007, Selección Oficial Los Angeles Latino Film Festival, ganador del premio al mejor corto de Imagen Awards). El mismo año filma “Cumbia callera”, largometraje de ficción dirigido por René U. Villarreal del que es Productor Ejecutivo.
En el 2007 dirige el mediometraje documental “Selling Hollywood - Stealling Hollywood”, co-edita el cortometraje “Stick & Ball” y el documental “How to cross a border”, ambos dirigidos por Tim Parsa.
Actualmente produce el largo de ficción “La brújula la lleva el muerto”, ópera prima de Arturo Pons, al tiempo que desarrolla las series de animación “The rainmaker “y “TvBoy”. Es director y productor del largometraje documental “9 meses 9 días”.
Born in 1975 in Mexico City. He entered cinema in 1995, after two years working in TV and advertisement. He has collaborated in 24 feature films in the art, production and direction departments. Some of them are “Perdita Durango”, “The mask of Zorro”, “Stigmata”, “Beat”, “From dust to dust” and “Streeters”.
In 2003 Ozcar produced and directed “The people woke up”, documentary of a village in the sierra of Oaxaca, Mexico, that chose to adapt to a political structure dating back to pre-colonial times. That year he executive produced “Euthanasia Club”, a film by Agustin Oso Tapia, (Audience Award at the Guadalajara Film Festival 2005 and Official Selection at both the Los Angeles Latino Film Festival and Orange County Film Festival).
In 2004 Ozcar produced the short films “The last time”, by Ira Franco and “We are everywhere”, by Sofia Perez (Best short film in the festivals of Kinoki 2004 and Espacio Cine Televisa 2005 and Official Selection of Guadalajara Film Festival 2006). He also produced the documentary “Forest Peoples”, by Anna Karp.
In 2005 Ozcar completed “Behind the shadows”, a documentary film about the life of the technicians in the Mexican film industry as both producer and director. (Official Selection Guadalajara, Morelia and Agusacalientes film festivals in 2005 and Cinesul 2007). The documentary was recently acquired by the History Channel.
In the beginning of 2006 Ozcar produced “First Communion”, a short film directed by Daniel E. Carrera, and edited the documentary “The voice of the screen”, directed by Sofia Perez Suinaga that describes the life of the father of dubbing in Mexican cinema. He is the Executive Producer for “Cumbia Connection”, feature film directed by Rene U. Villarreal
In 2007 he directs the doc “Selling Hollywood - Stealling Hollywood”, co-edits “Stick & Ball” (short) and “How to cross a border” (doc), both directed by Tim Parsa.
He is currently producing “La brújula la lleva el muerto”, Arturo Pons’ first feature, while he develops the animation series “The rainmaker “and “TvBoy”. He is director and producer of the documentary “9 meses 9 días”.
